LifeBalance Upgrades

This month, we’re rolling out some improvements to help members quickly and easily access program savings! With improved search functionality and a slick checkout process on both desktop and mobile devices, the LifeBalance site will be even more user-friendly than ever.

As our mission is to connect members to life-enhancing experiences, it’s our hope that these changes will help members save on the purchases and experiences they love most!

Let’s look at what’s new:

Finding Savings Made Easy

Enhancements to search, map view, and gallery view make finding deals easier than ever!

Search: Front and Center

Our search bar is now prominently featured on every page of the site. Using the search, members can quickly find specific vendors and offers — and now, they can use this feature to perform searches of their current or saved locations.

An Enhanced Map Search

Our improved map search functionality will improve members’ ability to browse for local options.

We’ve added lists of search results next to the map itself that also show previews of each vendor’s discount information. Users can scroll through the list while viewing where each vendor is on the map. Clicking on a map pin expands the corresponding vendor’s information in the list of results. 

We’ve also made filters more visible, and added the option for users to toggle between online deals and deals at brick-and-mortar locations. 

Gallery Improvements

While we’re now defaulting our searches to take users to a map of results, users can still view savings in “gallery” form. We’ve enhanced this feature as well, making filters more accessible, and giving users the option to quickly toggle between local savings and online deals.

Ticket Ordering, Streamlined

Who doesn’t love an easy online shopping experience? That’s why we’ve given our online shopping cart a makeover!

One-Click Checkout

After adding tickets to their cart, users can now check out with just one click/tap. All purchasing info, including order details, is on one screen, making it easy for users to quickly review their order and make a purchase.

Delivery and Shipping Details

We’ve added more information to our cart to better help users understand whether tickets will be delivered physically or electronically, and when they can expect to receive them.

Timer and Notification

To help ensure everyone has access to more popular ticket items, we’ve also added a timer to our shopping cart. After adding tickets to their carts, users will have an hour to complete their purchase; thereafter, unpurchased tickets will be released for other users to buy. A timer in the cart, as well as a notification reminder that will appear 5 minutes before tickets are released, will make it clear to users how much time is left to complete their purchase.

Viewing Order History

We know that it’s important to our users to see the past orders they’ve placed on LifeBalanceProgram.com. That’s why we’re excited to launch our order history page! Going forward, any orders that users place on LifeBalanceProgram.com will immediately display on this page so that users can quickly and easily find their order information (orders with third-party vendors will not be included here).

LifeBalance Program Announces Free Shipping for All Tickets Sold on LifeBalanceProgram.com

Portland, OR, June 2019: The LifeBalance Program will now be offering free shipping for all discounted tickets sold on its website, LifeBalanceProgram.com. LifeBalance leadership chose to waive shipping fees to provide even greater savings to program members on discounted ticket items sold through its platform.

“We are client and member-focused in everything that we do,” said LifeBalance Co-Founder Dave Miller. “Eliminating these charges felt like one more way we could support members in their decisions to strive for a healthy work-life balance.”

As an employee and member discount platform, LifeBalance partners with hundreds of vendors who offer discounted tickets to program members. While most participating vendors sell discounted tickets to LifeBalance members on their own websites, many opt to allow LifeBalance to re-sell discounted tickets on the program site.

“We always want to obtain the lowest prices we can for our members,” said Miller. “We sell tickets to members at the prices for which we obtain them, so waiving shipping and delivery fees helps ensure members are getting tickets at the best rates we can find.”

LifeBalance is announcing the changes  to members and clients this week, and expects to see a bump in ticket sales.

“Our tickets to movie theaters, zoos, aquariums, and summer sporting events are very popular this time of year. With the announcement and the extra savings bump this change provides, we expect our Member Services team will be pretty busy getting tickets out the door,” said Miller.

“We can’t wait,” he added. “It’s a great thing, and as with everything we do, we hope this helps to connect more of our members to the experiences that leave them feeling healthy, happy, and fulfilled.”

Great news! We are delighted to announce that we are now offering free shipping and delivery on all ticket orders placed on LifeBalanceProgram.com!

Because we sell tickets to members at the same price for which we purchase them, this means you’re getting the best rate we can offer on the tickets you buy on our site — no taxes, delivery fees, or shipping charges.

Thinking of Buying Tickets? Please Read This First!

While we do sell a number of discounted tickets on our website, the majority of LifeBalance’s discounted tickets are only available for purchase on our vendor partners’ websites. As these tickets sales are managed outside of our office, we aren’t able to waive shipping costs for them (though many vendor partners sell e-tickets with no shipping or delivery fees).

How will you know if you can expect free shipping and delivery with your order?

Look for the Free Shipping indicator in a vendor listing!

We are now including a “free shipping” label in the listing of any vendor who sells tickets on our website. This indicator will let you know that you won’t pay any shipping or delivery fees for the tickets you’re about to purchase on the LifeBalance site.

Health Plan Alliance Announces Addition of LifeBalance Program to its Group Purchasing Organization

IRVING, Texas, May 28, 2019 – The Health Plan Alliance, a national organization for provider-sponsored and independently-owned health plan collaboration, today announced the addition of the LifeBalance Program to its Group Purchasing Organization (GPO).

LifeBalance is a discount network that offers health plan members savings and benefits at more than 20,000 recreational, cultural, well-being and travel related business. Its offerings have shown to improve health plan member loyalty, engagement and well-being. The company has been in business since 1996 and  its offerings are available to almost 2,000,000 individuals nationwide.

“We are excited to add LifeBalance to our GPO,” said Jaime González, Alliance chief business development officer. “The LifeBalance Program will provide Alliance member health plans another way to differentiate themselves in their markets and help the individuals in their communities enjoy more of the things they love most – fun family time, the great outdoors, health, fitness, travel, sports, the arts, and above all, a good deal.”

LifeBalance has been a long-time supporter and sponsor of the Alliance and is already providing services to four Alliance member health plans: Providence Health Plan, Health Alliance Medical Plans, FirstCare Health Plans and Community Health Options. Now that LifeBalance is a part of the GPO, Alliance member health plans will have access to exclusive pricing and value-added services with LifeBalance.

Cascade Centers and The LifeBalance Program Team Up for Employee Well-Being and Happiness

PORTLAND, OREGON, March 2019 — The LifeBalance Program and Cascade Centers have partnered up to provide health, happiness, and savings to Cascade clients and their employees. Beginning March 1, 2019, the approximate 90,000 employees serviced by Cascade will have access to the LifeBalance Program’s exclusive network of recreational, cultural, well-being, and travel savings.

“LifeBalance is just a great benefit to provide for our members,” said Cascade Centers Vice President Anthony Brown. “Our goal is to improve quality of life for employees, and with all of the discounts on well-being and healthy recreation available through LifeBalance, it’s just a natural fit. This partnership also helps us decrease the stigma associated with using the EAP, increases overall engagement, and provides an additional recruitment and retention tool for our customers.”
